He frowned. His stats were unbalanced, to say the least. Dexterity and Strength were his lowest stats apart from Intelligence and Perception, neither of which affected combat directly, even though Intelligence had an effect. Reminding himself that Aura merely multiplied his physical abilities, Liam made a mental note to increase these two stats. His Skills also hadn’t changed much.

‘Maybe the Golem spearman will be the one to help me with that.’

His gaze then hovered over his XP counter. By killing veritable hundreds of humans in the last day, it seemed like he had absorbed part of their XP, which had culminated into an absolutely absurd value. However, that did not make him happy. Not in the least. It was because it meant that killing other humans was rewarding. Immensely so. He guessed murder would become more and more common as more people realized this and the old world’s standards were torn apart even further. His frown intensified. It partly explained why every soldier of the organization was quite powerful and high-leveled. They had built their strength upon the corpses of others.

Liam then looked at the value again. It was relatively little compared to the number of people he’d killed. Did humans drop a fixed amount of XP? Or did he absorb part of the XP of the person he killed? If the latter, then it didn’t make sense for him to only have acquired around 130,000.

‘Is the System reducing the amount of XP I get per kill?’

He didn’t know why, but he felt like something was up. Of course, there was the possibility that humans did give fixed XP, and it was quite low. It could be based on how powerful the System considered the species. It would mean that humans were on the low end, as expected from a species that was forcibly summoned and should not have participated in the Convergence yet.

‘Either way, it’s convenient.’

He had enough XP to greatly increase his stats. First, he put 40 points into Strength, making it reach the value of 200.

He then put the remaining points into Dexterity, also raising it up to 200.

[Your dexterity is superhuman!]

[Your sense of balance, agility, nimbleness, flexibility, and movement speed have all greatly improved.]

‘Alright, that’s good.’

Liam stretched his muscles. They felt powerful but flexible at the same time, not too tight and not too loose. It was the effect of having Strength and Dexterity at similar values. Feeling like he’d made a new discovery, Liam stared at the Status Window with his mind’s eye for a bit before closing it. He then closed his eyes out of habit and started to meditate to recover.

From now on, he would continue to hunt down the leader of the organization to the best of his ability. The journey would be long.
